Melbourne Square wins two 2019/20 Asia Pacific Property Awards
Melbourne Square has been named one of the best developments in Asia Pacific, winning two highly regarded awards for its architecture and design at the recent Asia Pacific Property Awards in Bangkok.
The incredible achievement saw the project awarded not just the Residential High Rise Architecture Award Australia but also the Mixed-use Development Award Australia at the ceremony, which is part of the International Property Awards.
The awards recognise the highest quality and innovation exhibited by businesses across all facets of property and real estate globally.
The project was judged by more than 80 industry experts as well as members of the UK’s House of Lords including Lord Caithness, Lord Best, The Earl of Liverpool, and Lord Thurso.
Melbourne Square impressed judges with its approach to creating a truly integrated precinct within an urban regeneration zone located in the heart of Melbourne’s inner city, with Melbourne Square to feature extensive public open space, luxury residential apartments, offices (or an office tower), a hotel, childcare and retail.
Chairman of OSK Property, Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat, congratulated everyone involved including Cox Architecture and landscape architects Taylor Cullity Lethlean, who have crafted an inspiring public realm.
“We are humbled by this incredible international recognition for Melbourne Square that now places it among some of the world’s best projects – developments that have truly transformed cities,” he said.
“Thank you to our teams who took our vision to create something special with Melbourne Square and translated it into an innovative and beautiful architectural response. This is fitting recognition for all that you have done.
“Congratulations to our future residents who embraced Melbourne Square and will call it home. We are very happy to have your support and share these special award wins with all of you.”
