MSQ Community Garden - Welcome to our little patch of goodness!
This temporary space beside the Melbourne Square basketball courts has been set aside to grow and harvest produce such as herbs and vegetables and is open for local residents’ contribution and enjoyment.
Our new Community Garden is ready to grow, and we’d love you to be a part of it!
Volunteers can join the Melbourne Square Community Garden group and help with the planting, maintenance and harvesting of produce at appropriate times of the year.
We’re currently looking for local residents to join our little group of worker bees to participate on a fortnightly basis for an hour or so, in getting going and keeping our garden going!
Our next meetings will take place on:
Saturday 22nd November at 2pm
Monday 1st December at 11am
Saturday 20th December at 2pm
Monday 5th January at 11am
Please register your interest to: pr@essentialcommunity.com.au
And don’t forget to BYO gardening gloves!
Walk-in volunteering is also welcome! Come and enjoy some gardening time with our experienced volunteers at our fortnightly meetings.
Tasks we do:
– Re-planting
– Weeding
– Pruning
– Cutting
– Watering
– Fertilising
– Harvesting
